Common European Election Programme

Preamble

Today's European Union as a supranational institution is a project of its member states rather than of its citizens. PIRATES hold the opinion that the future of Europe ought to be organised in the common interests of all European citizens, as well as the interests of member states. Therefore all PIRATES in the European Union have adopted this election programme and strive together to make our vision of the European Union reality. The democratic defic…

General Proposals

PP-CAT:

Regarding proposals departing from the core values, we think it might be interesting to put them forward anyway because, even if they end up being unacceptable in the Common Programme for some parties, if we see that they are shared by a sufficiently large number of parties, we could add another small section in our programmes of things shared by a number of parties (an Onion Programme… ).

Dear fellow pirates,

Below you can find the proposals for the common programme that our
programme working group has prepared. Since we haven't had any time to
hold a discussion of the proposals among the party bases, we do not
know if all the proposals will be in the end supported by our members
during the ratification process (similarly as PP-DE). Although we hope
they will be.

Hello fellow Pirates,

We, the Czech Pirate Party, thoroughly discussed the concept of common program in context of the German and our own proposal and we came to decision, that we should change our approach.

We'd like to introduce a new, or let's say modified proposal. The main idea is that - as already the Swedish Pirate Party wrote - different parties affect various topics in their domestic programs so we have to find an intersection. Plus, of course, to reach a consensus in so many topics …

Dear fellow pirates.

I apologize for sending this a bit late, but I figured that better late than never.

In the Swedish pirate party board discussion on the German proposal for a common EU programme the focus has not been so much about what we can add, but rather what we would need to remove to be able to support the document as a common Election Programme. As you know our political objectives are decided by the members at our online assemblies, and the board does not have a mandate to formula…
